InstallationBefore you install the 'PowerFolder Outlook Add-In', make sure that you have installed the .Net Framework 4.5. It is also necessary to have a PowerFolder account. This add-in officially supports Microsoft Office 2013 and Office 2016., email attachments can be uploaded to a PowerFolder server, generating download links that are accessible to recipients. Attachments are encrypted, and optional password protection ensures that only authorized recipients can access shared files. Installation Instructions- Download the PowerFolder Outlook Add-In installer.
Double-click on - Run the
file 'PowerFolder Outlook Add-In' - downloaded file by double-clicking it and follow the on-screen installation instructions.
- Restart Outlook to
use the 'PowerFolder Outlook Add-In'- complete the installation.

ConfigurationThe configuration of the 'To set up the PowerFolder Outlook Add-In' is quite simple. First enter your server address and your access data in the settings, you can do this by clicking on the 'PowerFolder' tab. Image Removed - Option 1: Opens the settings.
- Option 2: Gives you the option to create a new account, visit the PowerFolder homepage and also shows you the documentation.
- Option 3: Checks for an update and downloads it.

- Option 2: Enter your username here.
- Option 3: Enter your password here.
You can then click on “OK” to save your access data. As the PowerFolder Outlook Add-In allows you to add additional options to your generated FileLinks, you can set default values for them.You can do this by using 'Option 4' and 'Option 5' on the image above. If Outlook is configured via Microsoft Exchange Server, the size of the attachment is limited to 20 MB. The limit can be changed in the Exchange Server settings (see https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2813269).If Outlook is connected to a Microsoft Exchange Server or an IMAP server, the size of each attachment is limited to the maximum quota of the mailbox.The limit can be changed by increasing the maximum quota of the mailbox, follow these steps: Open Settings: - In Outlook, navigate to the PowerFolder tab.
- Click on Option 1 to open the configuration settings.
Enter Access Data: - Server Address: Input your PowerFolder server address.
- Username: Enter your PowerFolder username.
- Password: Enter your password.
- Click OK to save.
Set Additional FileLink Options (Optional): - Download Limit (Option 4): Define the maximum number of times a file can be downloaded.
- Validity Period (Option 5): Set the number of days the file link remains active.
Image Added Attachment Size Limitations:- If Outlook is configured with Microsoft Exchange Server, the default attachment size limit is 20 MB. You can modify this limit through the Exchange Server settings.
